Letourneur Conseil > Agricultural pollution

Agricultural pollution is contamination originating from the farming sector: livestock effluents, agri-food effluents, chemical substances used in crop treatment and the spreading of sewage plant sludge.

These agricultural practices are likely to generate diffuse soil pollution that affects the ecological system and creates health risks for humans. This pollution is generally found in surface soils. However, agricultural pollution can be easily transmitted to the subsoil and groundwater through runoff or infiltration from farming activities.

As part of a health guarantee, Letourneur conseil diagnoses soil, irrigation water and cultivated plants in order to control the levels of pollutants likely to be ingested by consumers.

In the context of urbanization of agricultural land, Letourneur Conseil carries out an environmental diagnosis to measure the degree of contamination of plots of land in order to assess any health risks, particularly through direct contact and ingestion.
